Introduction
SHARC is a versatile segmented silicon array consisting of a barrel detector in the forward and backward hemispheres, as well as a CD-style detector at very backward and/or forward angles. Designed for stand-alone use or integration with TRIUMF’s TIGRESS spectrometer, SHARC is highly suited for particle detection from reactions such as (d,p) or Coulomb excitation at TRIUMF’s new accelerator facility ISAC II.
